Bryter's Jenny McBean joins the Women in Games Partnership Board

Bryter's Head of Gaming Insights, Jenny McBean, joins the Women in Games Partnership Board

Women in Games is a non-profit dedicated to building a fair and equitable playing field for women and girls in games and esports through partnerships, advocacy, research, and community action – ensuring diverse representation becomes the norm, not the exception. In 2025, Women in Games launched their Partnership Board - bringing their most valued partners closer to the heart of the organisation’s mission, creating a structured forum where partner insight, expertise, and leadership directly inform strategic priorities and programmes.

After several years of collaboration with Women in Games - highlighting the important research into women and girls in gaming, and the challenges they face in online spaces - Jenny was invited to join the Partnership Board.

Women in Games CEO Dr Marie-Claire Isaaman said: “We are thrilled to welcome Jenny to the Women in Games Partnership Board. Over the years, Bryter’s research has played an invaluable role in helping the industry better understand the experiences of women and girls who play games, providing robust evidence that informs meaningful conversations and action.

“Jenny brings a wealth of expertise, insight and passion to the Board. As we continue to work with our partners to create a more equitable, inclusive and welcoming games industry, her knowledge and perspective will be incredibly valuable in helping to shape our strategic priorities and maximise our impact. We look forward to working even more closely together in the months and years ahead.”

Jenny added: “I’m delighted to be joining the Women in Games Partnership Board. In the 9 years of leading Bryter’s annual Women Gamers study – exploring the experiences of women gamers – I’ve seen how important it is to understand and highlight issues such as representation and toxicity in gaming spaces. I’m excited to be part of the board, to share insight and to help drive gender equity in gaming.”

Jenny has worked in gaming and player insights for over 10 years, helping developers and publishers across different genres and platforms to understand their audiences and inform the game development lifecycle. Alongside client work, Jenny also runs Bryter's annual Women Gamers Study – now in its 9th year – which highlights the behaviours and experiences of women gamers, including tracking toxicity in gaming spaces.
